This Event will be on over 3,500 acres of land in the low country of SC. The land is pines, clear cut and woods, with creeks and some swamp land.

 

I know of 3 house site areas on the land so far, there could be more across the property. 1700s / 1800s buttons and relics have been found in the vicinity surrounding the land, so there's potential for more. I have found native American pottery while surveying the property, Could be a village site. I can't guarantee any good finds, this is a natural detecting event. We will have access to 3,000+ acres to metal detect and it will be a fun adventure.

Pre-hunt meeting is Friday March 3rd, at 9am on site location (Will be released before event)

You can get checked in at the meeting and pick up hunt maps of the land.

 

This site has DIRT / Sandy roads with some gravel in spots. There's enough parking along dirt roads. 2WD worked fine but if it rains a few places could be muddy.

 

HOTELS: Closest hotels will be in Georgetown, SC. (30minutes away) .Also try using AIRBNB. Camping may be done at a few local campgrounds nearby. I recommend the "Elmwood Recreational Area" in Jamestown, SC, It has great reviews and is only 20 minutes from the dig site (13 miles).  Another area for Hotels is Pawleys Island, SC (45 Minutes away)

 

Exploring, digging and metal detecting dates are Friday to Sunday (Hour by Hour schedule will be released soon).

 

There will be Lunch available on Saturday at noon, Specially made by the Land owner. I will provide bottle water to those who may need.

 

I will have a few metal detector prizes to win during the raffle! Also, I may host a training session outdoors for those who need tips for detecting.
